Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player (Black) for $104.50

Cheap Panasonic DMP-BD65 Blu-Ray Disc Player (Black) Discount Review Shop

I'm not a technical person like a lot of the other reviews I read - I'm just a normal person who wanted a blu-ray player that we could afford. We purchased this along with the Panasonic 42" plasma TV model P42C2. The salesman at the store told us these were very easy to link together - a big plus for us since we are not at all electronically inclined.

We love this blu-ray player! The quality is outstanding. We're very pleased with how easy it was to connect the tv to the blu-ray player. It was in our price range, and to us, that was the most important part. When we bought this my husband and I said to each other that we've got to be careful and not buy all of our movies on blu-ray just because we have one now. But the last 4 movies we've bought have all been on blu-ray. We also have an "old-fashioned" dvd/vcr player hooked up to the TV for the kids' movies so they don't mess with the blu-ray and the difference is amazing. I'm a big Twilight fan and was so excited to watch Edward sparkle! It was a totally different experience.

All in all, we are very happy with our purchase. We matched prices with another store and paid 0 for our blu-ray.

Experience Movies Like Never Before

The DMP-BD65 employs the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus. Developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, this high image processing technology reproduces clear, vivid colors that are faithful to the original film.

Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc players employ high precision 4:4:4 signal technology, which working in tandem with PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction to compliment vertical direction processing. P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD) is another technology that contributes to the superior picture quality of the Blu-ray players. P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimal processing to every pixel.

Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc players further utilize 16-level motion detection to categorize the image motion of each pixel into one of 16 levels; diagonal processing to detect diagonals and correct the pixels accordingly; 1080p up-conversion to up-convert content recorded in the 480i/p or 720p format to 1080p.

This Blu-ray Disc player also provides 1080/24p output, reproducing cinema images from a Blu-ray Disc and DVD in their original 24p form with no need for conversion--enabling you to enjoy cinema images in the same format used in cinema with a 1080/24p-compatible TV.

Complimenting the HD audio codecs, the BD65 Blu-ray Disc player features 96kHz surround re-master, a function that enhances the sound quality of CDs and other sources, and even improves the quality of the multi-channel audio data on Blu-ray Discs and DVDs.

Customer Reviews

Great Product - poor service - Dan -
The Panasonic product is great. However, it took Amazon two weeks to get it to me. It was over one week before they even acknowledged the order! Don't order if you expect to get it within a reasonable time.

Excellent device for an excellent price - Scott G. South - Houston, TX, USA
Currently watching a Blu-ray box set of the complete "Prison Break" series and the picture is amazing--truly 1080p (or i, whatever). Improves most standard DVDs to varying degrees as well. Not all DVDs are created equal, but some really are upconverted.

Panasonic's high quality 2010 line of quick booting Blu-Ray Players - Jack V. Carlisle - Vallejo, CA - USA
I highly recommend these 2010 top-of-the-line Blu-Ray players to anyone that wants impeccable quality and reliability. Panasonic probably has the best tech support in the industry. I have bought & used Panasonic units, both top-of-the-line Recorders & Players for years, and comparatively tested them against other top makes for reliability & user-friendliness; I have to date found NONE better, some close but ultimately- NO CIGAR!! Even SONY is not as user-friendly, though high quality. Panasonic just keeps consistently getting better; their currently available firmware upgrades ACTUALLY improve the unit's function. I recently firmware upgraded my DMP-BP65 online without any trouble, in the process of setting up streaming HD movies from Netflix, etc.
The machine now boots Blu-Rays & DVDs FASTER than when I first got it, and that was less than 7 secs. The picture quality IS Deep color beautiful!!! Anyone that has experienced Pana for any extended time knows what I'm talking about. Thank you .
